UPDATE: We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support, messages, and tips we’ve received. Our community truly showed up. At this time, all information and leads have been turned over to the proper authorities, and we are allowing them to handle the matter moving forward. Thank you again for standing with us.We are incredibly disappointed to share that the ice sculpture our business proudly sponsored for Winterfest was intentionally knocked over and destroyed shortly after it was installed. This event is meant to bring joy, creativity, and community spirit to our town, and it’s disheartening to see something created for everyone treated this way.We have video footage of the incident and are asking for the community’s help in identifying the two individuals involved. If you recognize them or have any information, please send us a private message. All information will be handled respectfully.

"New Fund Alert! We're excited to introduce the Carbon-Monroe-Pike Crisis Intervention Team Program Fund — because when someone is experiencing a mental health crisis, how we respond matters. This fund supports specialized training that equips our local law enforcement, first responders, and community partners with the skills to safely de-escalate mental health crises and connect people to the treatment and support they need — not the criminal justice system.Think of it this way: When a crisis hits, trained CIT responders can be the difference between someone getting help and someone getting handcuffs.Your donation funds the training, materials, and expert instructors that make this possible right here in our Pocono Mountains community."
Stroudsburg Girl’s Take First Place In EPC’S
On January 24, 2026 Stroudsburg wrestling team participated in EPC’s at. The girls’ wrestling team solidified their place at districts after Jasmine Chapman ’26 won first place in the finals.
This is not only a special moment for the team but for Stroudsburg as she made Stroudsburg history by being the first girl to place first in EPC’s. Considering this is the second year Stroudsburg has a girls’ team, it was monumental and earned her a small highlight in the Pocono Record.
For her final match, Jasmine wrestled Jennifer Szmak ’27, Pocono Mountain West, to whom she had previously been pinned by at PMW earlier in the season.
“
It was amazing. Honestly, it was amazing. I was overwhelmed. I thought I was going to lose because previously Jennifer—-, who I wrestled for first place— had pinned me at Pocono Mountain West.
— Jasmine Chapman

Sen. Rosemary Brown announces "Residents First" data center legislative package
"Over the past several months, our region has increasingly been targeted for large-scale data center development. While final approvals of any development lie with local governments under Pennsylvania law, I believe that legislative action at the state level is also appropriate to protect the interests of our communities and communities across the state facing similar circumstances. That is why, several months ago, I introduced legislation establishing data center pre-application requirements to ensure transparency and accountability before a project could even formally begin. But I am not stopping there. Last week, I announced three additional proposals to build out a comprehensive legislative package focused on protecting our communities.
