The Tunkhannock Township Board of Supervisors in Monroe County will hold a public hearing at the Tunkhannock Township Municipal Building on April 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM. The purpose of the hearing is to review Short-Term Rental Appeals by SPSTR1 LLC for Violations 1 and 2 on January 6 and 7, 2026, respectively, under the STR Ordinance 2019-001. The property in question is located at 110 Tunkhannock Drive, Albrightsville, PA 18210, Indian Mountain Lake. SPSTR1 LLC, the property owner, is based in Beaverton, OR, with legal representation from Timoney Knox, LLP in Fort Washington, PA.

BLAKESLEE, Pa. — Update: According to the Monroe County Coroner, 45-year-old Joanne Beauvais of Lackawanna County was pronounced dead at a local hospital just before midnight on February 26. The coroner found multiple gunshot wounds that led to Beauvais' death. The manner of death was ruled to be homicide.
