Short Term Rental Information
Tobyhanna Township approved a short-term rental ordinance in 2022. A revision to the ordinance was adopted in February of 2024 that changed the occupancy limit to 2 per bedroom + 2 and reduced fines for violations to be within state guidelines. Tobyhanna Township recently imposed a cap on the number of short term rentals licenses and due to the uncertainties surrounding license issuance, caution is advised when purchasing in Tobyhanna Township. According to the Monroe County Coroner, 38-year-old Sean Richmond, Stroudsburg Athletic Director and Wrestling Coach, has been identified as the victim of the crash.
He was on his way to the school's prom at Kalahari Resorts before the accident according to authorities.
