Short Term Rental Information
Tobyhanna Township approved a short-term rental ordinance in 2022. A revision to the ordinance was adopted in February of 2024 that changed the occupancy limit to 2 per bedroom + 2 and reduced fines for violations to be within state guidelines. Tobyhanna Township recently imposed a cap on the number of short term rentals licenses and due to the uncertainties surrounding license issuance, caution is advised when purchasing in Tobyhanna Township. On Monday, the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department said it was dispatched to a suspicious male on Route 196 and Renaissance Lane in Coolbaugh Township.
