Short Term Rental Information

Tobyhanna Township approved a short-term rental ordinance in 2022. A revision to the ordinance was adopted in February of 2024 that changed the occupancy limit to 2 per bedroom + 2 and reduced fines for violations to be within state guidelines. Tobyhanna Township recently imposed a cap on the number of short term rentals licenses and due to the uncertainties surrounding license issuance, caution is advised when purchasing in Tobyhanna Township. The psychology department at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania hosted the 54th Biannual Research Forum at the end of the fall 2025 semester.

TOBYHANNA, MONROE CO. (WOLF) — The U.S. House has authorized $68 million in funding for improvements at Tobyhanna Army Depot, including a major expansion of its radar test range, as part of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026.
