Arguably one of the most influential women of this generation, Taylor Swift was born on December 13, 1989.
She fell in love with music at an early age and started her career at 16. However, along with fame and success came misogyny and disadvantages as a woman in the music industry.
From the beginning, even though selling millions of copies and selling out stadiums, she was always doing something wrong.
Swift started out as a Country Singer after growing up in Nashville, Tennessee. She released four albums under the Country category. However, people started to realize that her music started to sound more like Pop music.
She was also looked down upon by the media as having too many relationships, so she tried to focus on her album “1989” on having fun with a style outside of her comfort zone.

Barrett Township Supervisors Workshop Meeting - February 18, 2026 - 6:30 PM
Barrett Township Supervisors Workshop Meeting - February 18, 2026 - 6:30 PMAngry Citizen from Pocono Lake re: Data Centers
Angry citizen from Pocono Lake speaks up at a Township Meeting, challenging the legality of the change in ordiance in Tobyhanna TWP, that changes one property owner's use of land that borders Pinchot Forest and The Thomas Darling preserve, to allow the use from a quarry to multiple data centers. Sure Data Centers are needed but the change in ordinance benefits one owner only, not for the greater good of the township. Tobyhanna has a data center going in a correctly zoned area by Kalahari. We don't need two data centers and the change in ordinance for the quarry enriched the land values by millions for one owner and decreased the value of everyone else's property by having property so close to a data center. Fight the good fight Debbie. Note this video has been edited for effects and contains audio that is not considered an official part of the record. For entertainment purposes only.

This week, I attended the Wildcat Ridge conditional use hearing in Archbald to listen directly to residents and fully understand the concerns surrounding the proposed project. Unfortunately, public comment was cut short before I had the opportunity to speak. Regardless, hearing directly from residents during the public comment period and having personal conversations with many of you is critical my work.
