Unrivaled

The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) has a regular season lasting from May to September.  During the offseason, some players can get another opportunity to play in the Unrivaled League. Unrivaled’s season takes place from January to March. According to The Observer, Unrivaled was founded in 2023 by WNBA Stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. Unrivaled is a 3-on-3 league, and the goal was to give players a better opportunity to compete in the offseason. The league took a liftoff that was not expected, and now Unrivaled is being talked about all over sports news sources.  “I think any kind of innovation that can bring more attention to the talents in women’s and men’s sports is great!” expresses Mr. Andrew Kurnas, an English teacher.
