Mon, 13 Oct 2025 00:00:00 PUBLIC NOTICE OF HEARING AND OF INTENTION TO ENACT PROPOSED ORDINANCE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Supervisors of Stroud Township will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, beginning at 6:30 P.M., at the Stroud Township Municipal Center, 1211 N. 5th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. The purpose of the hearing is to consider a proposed ordinance to amend Chapter 27 (Zoning) of the Stroud Township Code of Ordinances. The proposed ordinance would change the zoning district designation of certain parcels located along S.R. 0611 from the Office Commercial District (C-4) to the General Commercial District (C-2) and make corresponding amendments to the Township’s official zoning map. At the time of the public hearing, the Supervisors will listen to comments by members of the public concerning the proposed ordinance.

Examples of special events include, but are not limited to, a parade, concert, show, carnival, circus, fair, race, fundraiser, or fun day.

During the annual homecoming tailgate on October 11, East Stroudsburg University’s Department of Athletic Training concluded its 50th anniversary celebration with a gathering of students and faculty who have been a part of the program through the decades.
The program’s founding members, John Thatcher, Lois Wagner and Mert Shane, were present during the Homecoming Tailgate where they were honored for their vision for the athletic training program.
