On Feb. 13, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Stroudsburg High School (SHS) will host its annual King of Hearts (KOH) dance run by the SHS student government.
Similarly to Homecoming, the nominee voting will be held on Monday, Feb. 2, and the winner will be announced at the dance. The school’s favorite boy will be named “King of Hearts.”
The Student Government is behind all of the backstage endeavors when it comes to the dance. All officers are involved with setting up the cafeteria before and also taking down all decorations after the dance.

I continue to advocate for the passage of my bill, Senate Bill 375, which passed the Senate with strong bipartisan support on June 25, 2025. Since then, we have been waiting for the bill to be brought up for a vote in the House of Representatives.
While the Borough ultimately has the final say, I've shared a letter with Stroudsburg Borough Council recommending they consider transferring their authority to the courts to fill their mayoral vacancy. This step would play an important role in restoring public trust.
Advanced Placement (AP) classes have long been on high schoolers schedules with the hopes of gaining in depth knowledge on a subject along with the possibility of college credits. There are classes available at this level in nearly all subjects including math, English, science, social studies, art, and music. A prominent gap can be seen in this list.
