The regular National Football League (NFL) season ended  Sunday, January 4, 2026, and the playoffs began this Saturday, January 10, 2026. 

According to the NFL, the first playoff weekend had the Los Angeles Rams play the Carolina Panthers, with the Rams taking the game 34-31, and the Green Bay Packers falling to the Chicago Bears 31-27. Both of these games occurred on Saturday, January 10.

With data center proposals popping up around the state, townships in Monroe County are planning ahead for the future.

Officials with Chestnuthill Township recently passed a new zoning ordinance to only allow data centers in the light industrial commercial zones.

JACKSON TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) —  A man has been charged after state police say explosive materials were discovered inside a home, prompting a controlled detonation.

35-year-old James Andrew Niedosik from Stroudsburg was charged with the following:

On September 24, troopers were called to a home in Jackson Township for a report of several loud explosion noises.
