I’d like to invite families and community members to a Community Information Meeting to learn about the potential opening of the Pocono Mountain Dual Language Charter School.

The proposed school would offer academic excellence through dual language education, beginning with Grades K–4 with a possible opening in Fall 2027.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will host a public hearing to take testimony from the public regarding an application by Route 115 Associates, LLC for a National Pollutant Discharge and Elimination System (NPDES) permit for the proposed Route 115 Associates, LLC warehouse project in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County.

Tobyhanna woman pleads guilty to lesser charges in Coolbaugh stabbing

A Tobyhanna woman has pleaded guilty to lesser charges in a stabbing case.

On Feb. 5, Colleen Hall, 57, pleaded guilty to the charges of first-degree misdemeanor possession of an instrument of crime and second-degree misdemeanor simple assault. She initially faced first-degree felony charges of attempted homicide and aggravated assault, and two second-degree felonies of aggravated assault.

Police: Threatening statement found on note in Pleasant Valley High School in Monroe County

BRODHEADSVILLE, Pa. - Students at Pleasant Valley High School are being met with a large police presence Thursday after a threatening note was found inside the school Wednesday.

State Police say they are investigating and are taking the threat seriously.
