"Take a lesson from both local and national events, Republicans.
Locally, in the Borough of Stroudsburg, the Borough Manager has received raises totaling 80% in just four years, while the Borough Council raised taxes 70% in eight years.
There were crowded meetings decrying this obvious mismanagement of finances.
I was there.
Nothing changed.
The Democrats held firm.
They then knowingly campaigned for a young mayor with three DUIs to be reelected, knowing he would not even serve 15 minutes of his term because, immediately upon being sworn in, they would appoint him to a $75,000-a-year job.
A job he cannot do efficiently, because he is not allowed to enter many of the businesses he is tasked with helping. As a heavy drinker, he had been banned from those establishments.
Now he says he is sober and will not enter those businesses due to his problems with drinking. With nightlife and bars being such a large part of the work of any downtown manager, this is obviously a poor choice for a high-paying city job.
Businesses and citizens came out to voice their objections. Again, the meetings were standing room only, but the Borough Council—consisting entirely of Democrats, with I believe one Independent—dug in their heels.
Nothing changed.
The Democrats held firm.
We then had recordings of them planning their actions. We asked the Borough Council President, who admitted that the voice on the recording was his and that he was colluding, to step down.
He refused.
We asked the new downtown manager, the former mayor, not to take the job. If memory serves, he did not even bother to show up at the follow-up standing-room-only public meeting.
He refused.
Finally, we asked that the runner-up candidate for mayor be appointed.
They refused.
So tonight, the Borough Council chose as mayor someone who did not even campaign for the position, but who is close friends with a former mayor and now a state representative who appears to select many of those in power on the school board and in the borough—even as her husband was just elected to a $105,000-per-year judgeship in Stroudsburg Borough.
That person is Tarah Probst.
Crowded meetings with angry citizens and business leaders made no difference.
A state senator requesting in writing that the Court of Common Pleas appoint the vacant mayoral position, as allowed by state code? Disregarded.
Nothing changed.
The Democrats held firm.
Learn a lesson, Republicans.
In the face of exposed lies and corruption caught on tape, the Democrats changed nothing.
They relented not one inch.
Angry crowds meant nothing.
A fair and just legal remedy meant nothing.
Righteousness in the face of obvious wrongdoing meant nothing.
Only power means something to them.
So when the lying Left—who always seem to vote Democrat—accuse you of things and call you names, hold firm in what is right and yield nothing.
Remember, these are the people on the 20% side of most 80–20 issues, whether it be voter ID for elections, closed borders, or boys not competing against girls in sports while taking their six-figure scholarships.
They oppose 80% of the people.
Yet they dig in their heels and change nothing.
Apologies for the long post. Perhaps you’re wondering where this type of thing is seen on the national stage.
Consider this: they raided the home of a former president on bogus charges and rifled through his wife’s underwear drawers. They arrested him, took a mugshot, and did many other evil things to him, his family, and his supporters.
Meanwhile, Republicans have had complete power for one year and have not been able to deport a wife-beating illegal alien member of Tren de Aragua.
As the Book of Revelation closes, Jesus gives a list of people who will not enter Heaven.
The first type He names are cowards.
Be bold.
Be just.
Be righteous.
Earn trust.
Never vote Democrat.
