Foreign Films is a club run by Mr. Carter that meets once a month to watch different foreign movies and discuss them.
This includes a voting process to pick the movie and the ability to suggest a movie. The schedule is flexible as it is also done by voting, so the most available date for members is chosen in retrospect of unavailability due to other activities. Snacks are brought in to eat during the movie.
It allows students to interact with the different languages of the world and engage in global learning. After the movies, the students discuss how the movie made them feel and any questions or critiques. This club allows the students to dive into cultures and see different movie formats, acting styles, and movie types.
It explores languages such as Spanish, French, Italian, and more. During the movie, snacks are also provided by club members who donate. Movie Viewings are done in Mr. Carter’s room.
