A First Northern Bank and Trust branch was robbed Saturday morning in Wind Gap, police said.
Slate Belt Regional Police Chief Jonathan Hoadley told lehighvalleylive.com the incident began just before 11 a.m. at the branch, 6663 Sullivan Trail. The entire incident lasted about a minute, the chief said.
The suspect handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller handed over $3,200, and the suspect fled in an unknown direction, Hoadley said.
The suspect is being described by police as a male between the ages of 25 and 35. Bank surveillance footage captured photos of the suspect. Authorities expect to release them later this week.
There were no patrons in the bank at the time of the robbery. It’s unclear if any weapons were shown in the incident.
There were no reported injuries.
