On March 7, 2026, the PIAA AAA Wrestling State Championship concluded. Ending Stroudsburg’s season at 13-5 as the 10-seeded team in District XI, the Mountaineers had a very successful season.

Five wrestlers broke the 20 win mark this season. The previous year only three achieved this feat.

Jack Jasionowicz, ’26, the team’s 107-pounder committed to East Stroudsburg University, reached a career high 31 wins this season, placing third in District XI, fourth in the Northeast region AAA tournament. Jasionowicz would take a trip to Hershey to states and take a rough loss to the eventual fourth place winner to end his highschool wrestling career.

Albert Bialasiewicz, ’26, Stroudsburg’s 114-pounder went 20-10 this season, pinning 11 opponents, achieving the second highest pin rate on the team.

Chase Fetherman, ’27,  the Mountaineers’ 127-pounder reached more than 20 wins for the third time in his highschool career this season. He went 26-10, a career high for single season wins, and placed sixth in the Regionals for the first time in his career.

Leonard DiMaria, ’27, broke the 20 win mark at 172lbs, ending his season 22-13, placing fifth in the District XI Tournament and falling short of placing in the Regional Tournament.

The highest pin rate on the team would go to Zion Essington, ’26 at 61%. Essington took third at Districts, fourth at Regionals, and took himself to States in his senior year. He ended 34-12, the most wins on the team this season.

Other starting wrestlers include Alex Ball, ’26, Colton Christian, ’27, Shaun Evans, ’26, and Eathan Rose-Sullivan, ’29.

The Mountaineers went 6-4 in dual play, struggling against larger schools, while ending tournament play with only one loss.
