On August 1, 2025, at approximately 0730 hours, an officer of the Pocono Township Police Department conducted a traffic stop for moving violations on SR0715 in Tannersville. During the traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle, Caleb Scavello, a twenty-two-year-old male of Tobyhanna, displayed signs of impairment. After conducting standardized field sobriety testing, Scavello was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. A search incident to arrest led the officer to locating a small amount of cocaine in Scavello's pocket.
