On October 18th, 2025, officers of the Pocono Township Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that possessed a suspended registration due to insurance cancelation. Upon contact, the driver and defendant in this matter, David Phillips, of Tobyhanna, presented officers with false identification. Further investigation found that the defendant's vehicle also possessed a fraudulent inspection sticker.

Charges for false identification to law enforcement, possessing counterfeit documents, and traffic offences filed.
