On December 6th, 2025 at approximately noon. Officers of The Pocono Township Police Department responded to Wawa in Tannersville for a report of a male and female slumped over in a vehicle at a gas pump. Officers located the vehicle in front of a pump with a male in the passenger seat. The male provided a false name and date of birth but was later discovered to be Aaron Butler, a 35 year old male from Lawrenceville PA. Butler was found to be in possession of heroin and paraphernalia during the investigation. 

The female driver, Julie Evringham, a 25 year old female also from Lawrenceville, was also found to be in possession of heroin and several items of drug paraphernalia.
