On Tuesday, Feb. 11, the nominees showed off their unique talents and personalities through various acts, songs, and many other amusing performances in a show known as Man Pageant! The Man Pageant is organized by Stroudsburg Mini-Thon and is a fun way to showcase the nominees.
Although it may seem that times are changing with each new generation, it is possible to be transported to the past with the right music.
On the weekend of Jan. 31, 2025, the Sherman Theater, a local Stroudsburg venue, held the musical production of Adam Sandler’s “The Wedding Singer.”
The show was produced through In2YouArts, a local theater company in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The company has also produced other shows like “Matilda.” Anyone can participate in productions run by In2YouArts, from children to adults, and that’s just what this show did.
Disorderly Conduct / HarassmentSTROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A generous clothing distribution in the Poconos is helping those in need ahead of some winter weather.
Franklin Clothing Outlet in Chambersburg donated their excess winter coats and vests on Tuesday to Pocono Mountains United Way.
The coats were then given away to various charitable organizations in the Monroe County area including Street2Feet, Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, and Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network.
This initiative highlights the power of community partnerships and corporate giving.
On January 11, the Stroudsburg Rifle team took a trip to Southern Lehigh to take on the State Individual Qualifier. Five players shot top 25, and three made it to states.
Marksmen William Tonnies, ’25, Gavin Dunkelberger, ’25, Isabella Lisnik, ’25, Maxsim Lamberton, ’25, and Anthony Ortiz, ’26, all made the top 25 in the qualifiers.
Tonnies, Dunkelberger, and Lisnik were the highest placers, at seventh, eighth, and ninth places respectively. These three qualified for states and are traveling on Thursday to compete.
