Pennsylvanians Deserve the Truth about Electricity Costs

On Wednesday, January 29, the Stroudsburg Boys’ Wrestling team ended their season on a high note with a win against Pleasant Valley, finalizing their regular season record at 13-7.

Rolling into 2025, the team was 4-4, seemingly unable to string together multiple wins in a row, following each win with frustratingly close losses.

On January 29, Stroudsburg High School’s first-ever Girls’ Wrestling season came to an end. The team struggled throughout the season, as they wrestled against multiple established programs, yet persevered and ended the season with a record of 1-6. 

Entering the first meet of their careers against Emmaus, they were shut out, 78-0. Taking that loss, they came into the next meet on December 11 against William Allen and hung 54 points on the Canaries to their 18, successfully capturing the Lady Mounties’ first-ever program win. 

Stroudsburg High School TSA Club, advised by Kirk George, recently hosted and competed in the Region 9 Conference. TSA member, Benjamin Becker, ’26, shared the results and list of SHS students who earned placements.

SHS students achieved Top-10 rankings at the Technology Student Association’s ( TSA), Region 9 Conference was hosted at the Stroudsburg Junior High School.

Offering up all types of classes; such as how to decorate cakes, making spritz butter cookies or fresh bread Diemer keeps up with the times.

The Stroudsburg Cheer team is the foundation of school spirit in the Pocono Mountain region. Known for their vibrant energy and fun performances, the team has made a name for itself in the halls of the Stroudsburg High School. Whether hyping up the crowd at Friday night football games or competing, this team continues to work harder and embody strong teamwork skills.

As the team prepares for yet another game, let’s take a closer look at what makes Stroudsburg Cheer stand out from the rest. 

The Stroudsburg Chess team wraps up its 2024-2025 season with a record of 6-4-1. In a season many thought would be a rebuilding year, instead, Stroudsburg proved to be competitive and exceeded expectations.

Stroudsburg came into this season with six new members and only five seniors. Some feared after last season’s struggles, the trend would carry over into this season.

As the Stroudsburg Rifle teams’ regular season comes to a close, they end the season with a record of 8-2. With a comfortable third-seed finish, they can confidently say this was a successful season.

The Mountaineers only had one match that went down to the Xs, against a competitive Emmaus team that they beat 497 40x to 497 38x. The rest of their wins came smoothly with multiple 10+ point differential matches during the season. 

The team this year is senior-heavy, having four of the five top shooters in almost all matches being the class of ‘25. 

Wednesday, Stroudsburg will finish out their 2024-25 wrestling regular season as they travel to Pleasant Valley.

The boys’ team comes into the final matchup 12-7 on the season. They will be in action for the first time since the Coal Cracker Tournament at Lehighton High School this past weekend.

Jack Jasionowicz, ’26, made it to the tournament semifinals, placing fourth overall. Other Stroudsburg wrestlers who won matchups include Albert Bialasiewicz, ’26, Hunter Brown, ’25, Chase Fetherman, Zachary Berwick, ’25, Alex Ball, ’26, and Zion Essington. ’26.
