Stroudsburg Borough is the historic heart of Monroe County, Pennsylvania, and the only traditional downtown in the Pocono Mountains region. With its walkable streets, Victorian architecture, and vibrant arts scene, Stroudsburg blends small-town charm with urban energy.
Stroudsburg is a borough that wears its history proudly while embracing modern vibrancy. It’s a place where you can admire 19th-century architecture in the morning, hike a mountain trail in the afternoon, and catch a live show at night. As the county seat, it anchors Monroe County’s civic and cultural life with a distinctive blend of heritage and hospitality.
The borough of Stroudsburg has implemented a new Short-term Rental Ordinance and refined zoning regulations to prohibit short term rentals in residential districts (R-1, R-2 and R-3) and allow it in all other zoning districts. A license and annual inspection is required, more details under Housing section on borough's website. See rules and regulations and permit application below.

On Monday, I proudly introduced my new monthly Veterans E-Newsletter! This dedicated newsletter will serve as a direct resource for our veterans, active-duty service members, and their families here in Pennsylvania.
Up in the sky you see them, those radiant Friday night lights that light up the field. The crowd is electric; the game so far has been exhilarating; everyone is glued to their seats.
We take the field and feel the rush of being out on that green landscape. The moment hits as we line up for the big moment.
The crowd goes silent, and we start to play. Every step paints a picture for the crowd to see from above.
These are our Friday Night lights, too; We are the Stroudsburg High School marching band, and these are our views.

On September 17, 2025, Stroudsburg High School’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) had its name temporarily changed to Student Support Initiative (SSI). This change occurred due to the ongoing national controversy over the terms DEI.
The sudden change to the club’s name left the advisors and members confused. They had already had a setup planned for their table for the activity fair, but due to the name change being put into effect, they couldn’t use any of the already prepared materials.
