East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania has selected Pastor Selena Dionne Brown, Campus Pastor of The Greater Shiloh Church, to be the keynote speaker for the 2026 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Breakfast. The 29th annual celebration honoring Dr. King is scheduled for Monday, January 19, 2026, at 8 a.m. The theme of this year’s breakfast is “Out of the mountain of despair, a stone of home.”  The breakfast will be held at Terraview at Stroudsmoor Country Inn. Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) is a club in Stroudsburg High School (SHS) focused on decision making, kindness, and mental health awareness. Our high school’s SADD chapter is only one of over 8,000 chapters across the country focused on bettering student’s lives. While originally SADD was created to focus on drunk driving awareness, over the years it has expanded to include mental health awareness, drug and alcohol prevention, and other topics on good decision making.
