We're having book club at 11:00am on Tuesday, Dec 9th due to the Presidential visit to Mount Airy. Multiple news outlets warn of delays and road closures leading up to the President's arrival. Our regular book club is on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 2:00pm.

FB post by Independent Online News: An out-of-state motorist had a young child with him when he pointed a gun at a group of people in another vehicle on Route 287, authorities confirmed. A group of New Jersey State Police troopers seized Christopher Paul, 44, of Canadensis, PA, at the Ramsey Square shopping center on northbound Route 17 around 1 p.m. Friday (Nov. 28th), multiple witnesses said. He was driving a Tesla SUV and had a young child with him, they said. New Jersey State Police Trooper II Christopher Postorino said Paul was behind the wheel of the Tesla when he brandished a firearm at another vehicle at Exit 55 in Wanaque just moments earlier. Troopers quickly located the Tesla, converged on Paul and took him into custody.

If you have canceled, suspended, or unwanted pesticides, you can schedule disposal through the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture CHEMSWEEP Program.  The deadline to schedule disposal is March 31.Farmers, pesticide applicators, and pesticide businesses in the selected counties are eligible for CHEMSWEEP collection.In 2026, the program will be held in Adams, Allegheny, Beaver, Cameron, Carbon, Centre, Chester, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Franklin, Jefferson, Lancaster, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, Potter and Washington.The first 2,000 pounds of pesticides per participant are collected and properly disposed of at no cost. Only products that have been registered for sale or use in Pennsylvania are accepted. How To Participate?

Swim season officially started with the first meet of the season on Friday, December 5, 2025, against Delaware Valley (Del Val) High School. The boys’ team won 98-85, and the girls’ team lost 106-74. The team captains for this year are Caitlin Hoffman, ‘26, Lucas Pelaez, ‘26, and Jason Pritchard, ‘26. Even though the girls suffered a loss, Hoffman reflected, “The first against Del Val was successful and fun! We had lots of great swims and overall a fun time. Although we didn’t win, I have so much faith the team will make lots of progess and improvements and have a great and fun rest of the season.” “ That was probably one of the best first meets that I’ve had in my 15 seasons as a coach. — William Conklyn, Swim Coach
