Both Stroudsburg swim teams are having a great second half of the season. Many of their recent meets have had close scores on both the girls and boys sides. Going against Emmaus on Jan. 13, Stroudsburg knew a win would be difficult; both teams gave it their all and swam fast, but lost with a boys’ score of 102-74 and a girls’ score of 42-137. 23 out of 43 individual swims were personal records, so even though both sides took a loss, they remained ready for their future meets.

Because of this, I declared a Snow Emergency for our Borough. The declaration begins on Saturday the 24th at noon until Tuesday the 27th at noon. The Snow emergency means no parking on the street so that our plow trucks can keep our roads, clean and clear. According to our ordinance, cars parked on the street will be ticketed and towed. Please do not park on the street until the declaration expires. If you need a place to park, you may use Schull Park located on Oak Street until the storm passes and the contractor is finished plowing. Please tell your friends and neighbors.
