The Pocono Family YMCA announced today the first of three planned events to mark the beginning of their long-awaited $21Million renovation project. Color the Countdown will take place on Saturday, June 27th from 11-3pm at the Pocono Family YMCA. Area supporters of the Pocono Family YMCA will help by coloring the Dunkin’ Donuts building on Main Street and starting the countdown until construction begins on the $21 million renovation!! For pre-set donations, participants can color the exterior of the Dunkin’ building using paint-filled water balloons. Wall space will also be set aside for a mural of children’s handprints. YMCA Board Chairman and 93.5 SBG Morning Show Host, Chuck Seese, will present a special event where kids can douse him using paint-soaked sponges. There will also be a fun color-run with participants taking away a custom-made tie-dye style t-shirt to commemorate the event!!
A schedule of events and suggested donations for participants will soon follow.
Since 1914, our beloved Pocono Family YMCA building has welcomed thousands of members and guests, and has always served as a place to build their minds, bodies, and spirits. As our renovations continue, we invite you to help support the project in one of many ways!
