The Borough of East Stroudsburg enacted a short term rental ordinance in 2021. The ordinance requires licensing and a list of requirements including the use of a private trash hauler. In Monroe County, one of the highlights is an annual art contest for high school students.
The contest was held at the East Stroudsburg University's Fine Arts Building.
This year's theme was "dreams are what we hold onto when hope seems bleak but hasn't faded."
The artwork shows the theme or any aspect of Dr. King's life and his philosophy.
STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The doors of a historic church in Monroe County are now open for the first time in decades with a few upgrades.
The Stroudsburg Little Bethel Historical Association held its grand opening on Saturday at Little Bethel on North Third Street in Stroudsburg.
There the newly restored Stroudsburg Little Bethel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church was unveiled.
The AME church is now a museum and even features a lending library full of books both by and about African Americans.
