Three East Stroudsburg University students attended the program “Academic Seminar on National Security” through The Washington Center in Washington, D.C. The seminar, which was held May 13-20, focused generally on the landscape of national security challenges facing the world today. The seminar gave college students from across the country a more in-depth understanding of the policy, operations, technology and risks surrounding cyber and national security in the United States. Discussions focused on such hot topics as global security concerns, the media’s role in national security, sanctions for cryptocurrency enforcement, whistleblowers and limits on government power, the impact of AI on national security, diversity in national security and offered students advice on future careers in national security.

Controversy has been soaring around Katy Perry’s infamous Blue Origin trip to space, meanwhile, a more concerning issue has been brewing in the space community.  Blue Origin, founded by Jeff Bezos, has conducted 32 launches to date, while its competitor, SpaceX, has conducted 488 launches to date.
