Data Centers Are Not Progress for Northeastern Pennsylvania
✔️ The NEPA Drone Position...
Northeastern Pennsylvania and the Pocono Mountains are not empty land waiting to be filled. They are one of the few places left where forests, mountains, and small towns still define the landscape. From the air, that reality is obvious. And it is exactly why NEPA Drone is openly opposed to large scale data center development in this region.
This stance is not political, and it is not based on speculation. It is based on what I see, document, and fly over regularly.
✈️ What I See From the Air
As a drone operation based in Northeastern Pennsylvania, NEPA Drone spends countless hours capturing this region from above. Forested ridgelines, valleys, and open land, and waterways are not just scenery, they are the identity of this area. Data centers permanently erase that identity.
From an aerial perspective, data centers are not subtle developments. They require massive land clearing, aggressive grading, access roads, substations, transmission lines, security fencing, and permanent industrial footprints. Once a mountain is cut into and leveled, it is gone. There is no meaningful restoration. There is no blending in.
NEPA Drone exists to showcase this area, not document its destruction...PERIOD!
