On May 17, 2025, Pocono Township Police Department officers responded to a theft incident at the Tannersville Wawa. Following an investigation, it was established that Thomas Decrescenzo and a female accomplice stole $86 worth of soda and food items. At the time of the incident, the adults were accompanied by three minors. Charges have been filed against Thomas Decrescenzo, and a warrant for felony retail theft will be issued for the female accomplice. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
