Our very own Sampson Metzgar heroically rescued a bald eagle amidst the solar eclipse on April 8th, 2024! Sampson is our 19-year-old avian expert – he’s been volunteering at Pocono Wildlife for almost three years and has been working as an intern since graduating from Stroudsburg High School in 2023. Stroudsburg High School Varsity Track and Field competed for their first home meet at Ross Stulgaitis Stadium against Northampton High School Konkrete Kids on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
It would be the Mountaineer’s first official matchup of the season after scrimmaging at Parkland High School on Saturday, March 16th.
Stroudsburg defeated Northampton in both the girl’s and boy’s matchups.
The girls scored 104 to 46, and the boys scored 99 to 51.
