REMINDER TO ALL ABOUT CRYSTAL ST BECOMING A ONE WAY STREET. On June 27, 2024, Crystal St in East Stroudsburg Boro will become a one-way street. The one-way will only be from Analomink St to Washington St. The portion of Crystal St from Washington St to Ridgeway St will remain a 2-way street. At 7 am on 6/27/2024, East Stroudsburg Boro will completely close Crystal St from Analomink to Washington while they prepare the roadway for the changeover. A new travel lane will be painted on Crystal St for motorists to follow when traveling through this portion of Crystal St.

Pickleball courts coming to Monroe County park

MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — The tennis courts at Mountain View Park in Pocono Township are a favorite spot for Dacosta Smith and his family.

"We always come out here when the weather is good. We've been playing out here for 20 years or so," said Smith.

But in recent years, a new game has taken over the court.

Delaware Water Gap officials respond to oil spill at Hidden Lake, urge proper disposal

National Park areas with bodies of water allow people to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and that’s what the Delaware Water Gap aims to achieve for it's visitors.

But last week, they received a report of an oil sheen on Hidden Lake near the park headquarters. Now, they're reminding people the park is not an area to change their oil.

Tobyhanna man convicted of molesting Wilkes student

A Tobyhanna man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a Wilkes University dorm room several years ago was convicted at trial this week of misdemeanor sex offenses.

The jury deliberated for a little less than four hours Tuesday evening before finding Khylen Rasul Shoffner, 28, guilty on misdemeanor counts of indecent assault of an unconscious person, indecent assault without consent, indecent exposure and harassment.

Jurors deadlocked on the most serious charges Shoffner faced, aggravated indecent assault and another felony count of indecent assault.
