On Oct. 5, there is something for everyone. Friends of the DWGNRA are offering a program on Environmental Exploration (adult/family) at the Middle Smithfield Township Community Center on Milford Road. The program will be presented by environmental education specialist Stephanie Sherman. It will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Free to members, a $5 pp donation is requested and 18 and under are free.
Early holiday shopping is possible at LVH-Pocono on Oct. 3. A linen sale will be held at the hospital cafeteria from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to the public. The sale is sponsored by the LVH Pocono Auxiliary.

Coolbaugh Township Parks and Recreation will hold their Annual Ghoulbaugh Event on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 1pm-3pm at the Coolbaugh Township Municipal Park located at 1770 Church Street, Tobyhanna, PA. EXETER — A man from Tobyhanna was charged with using another man’s identity to open a bank account and depositing a $194,730 check he then attempted to withdraw.
Nolan Hileam Emory, 34, opened a bank account at the M&T Bank branch in the Midway Shopping Center using another man’s name, date of birth and Social Security number, according to court records.
