Environmental Exploration (Friends of Delaware Water Gap)

On Oct. 5, there is something for everyone. Friends of the DWGNRA are offering a program on Environmental Exploration (adult/family) at the Middle Smithfield Township Community Center on Milford Road. The program will be presented by environmental education specialist Stephanie Sherman. It will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Free to members, a $5 pp donation is requested and 18 and under are free.

Coolbaugh Township Parks and Recreation will hold their Annual Ghoulbaugh Event on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 1pm-3pm at the Coolbaugh Township Municipal Park located at 1770 Church Street, Tobyhanna, PA. This man is going up to doors, pulling to see if they’re open and looking in windows. Police have been notified. In the area of 209 and West Hills Drive at 6pm. Please be careful and make sure your doors and windows are locked. If mine were not locked he would have been in my living room.

Tobyhanna man charged with identity theft

EXETER — A man from Tobyhanna was charged with using another man’s identity to open a bank account and depositing a $194,730 check he then attempted to withdraw.

Nolan Hileam Emory, 34, opened a bank account at the M&T Bank branch in the Midway Shopping Center using another man’s name, date of birth and Social Security number, according to court records.
