Expanding Rooftop Solar to Cut Costs and Strengthen Our Energy Future As energy costs continue to rise and demand increases across Pennsylvania, we must take smart, strategic steps to expand our energy capacity without putting additional burdens on taxpayers or sacrificing open space. Senator Nick Miller and I have partnered on bipartisan legislation to establish a Commercial and Industrial Rooftop Solar Program here in Pennsylvania. This bill would allow us to tap into the unused potential of warehouse rooftops, using infrastructure that already exists to generate clean, reliable energy.

The outage caused residents across the state to receive this message on their cellphones. Emergency notifications were also issued on television and radio stations across the state. PEMA Alert In a Friday evening briefing, Randy Padfield, PEMA director, urged Pennsylvanians to "continue to use the 911 system to be able to call for emergency situations." "We still want them to utilize the 911 system. If the call does not go through or the call drops for some reason, follow the instructions provided by your 911 center," Padfield said. "I want to stress, these were intermittent issues," Padfield said.
