Swim heads into second half of season

Stroudsburg’s boys and girls swim team went against East Stroudsburg North High School on December 16, 2025, and Allentown Catholic Central (ACC) High School on December 18, 2025.

In the first home meet of the season against East Stroudsburg North, both teams dominated with a boys’ score of 76-18 points and a girls’ score of 77-9 points.

14 swimmers set new personal records: Aliyah Cleary, Piper Coffman, Lile Bekaia, Ashlee Fehnel, Vashaun Francis, Matteo Maccarrone, Natalia Nicholson, Chudi Ogbolu, Aidan O’Toole, Lucas Pelaez, Lila Smedley, Kacper Soja, Brett Svensson, and Alfred Zheng.

This win is what both teams needed to increase team morale for their more challenging meet against ACC.

The Stroudsburg and ACC team proved to be an exciting match-up with the fastest swimmers on both sides putting up incredible performances.

Even though both teams were closely tied, the boys’ Mountaineers managed a comeback, winning 52-42; however, the girls lost by the same margin, 52-42.

11 swimmers set personal records: Alexis Anders, Piper Coffman, Ashlee Fehnel, Vashaun Francis, Natalia Nicholson, Chudi Ogbolu, Aidan O’Toole, Keshav Persaud, Kacper Soja, Brett Svensson, and Alfred Zheng.

Coach William Conklyn stated, “I think the team is really starting to put the pieces together. Both the girls and boys team have been really working hard in practice and it is showing at meets as we continue to regularly put up new best times.”

The team trained vigorously over break and is prepared heading into the second half of the swim season. There are two home meets this week against Pocono Mountain East on Jan. 6, and Nazareth on Jan. 8, both at 5 p.m.
