Pocono Decorative Artists (d/b/a Friends of Pocono Painters) want to bring to your attention an event that we sponsored on January 23rd, at Chestnuthill Township Community Center. During this event, our group hand painted birth to 12-month-old onesies. These donations will be donated as one of our 2026 community service projects benefiting The Angel's Closet via The Reformed Church of Bushkill.
Pocono Decorative Artists is a nonprofit group whose mission is to offer our members an opportunity to broaden their knowledge of decorative painting through classes and seminars as well as becoming involved in community service projects. Our purpose is to raise and maintain a local level of high quality in the learning and teaching of decorative painting as well as providing our members with involvement in an annual community service project(s). In the past, we have helped to support local women’s shelters, local Veterans’ organizations, The American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels, AWSOM, The Pregnancy Center of Poconos, LVHN-Pocono Cancer Center, just to name a few.
Each year, Pocono Decorative Artists hold several fundraising events that allow us to raise money to continue our mission. In 2026, we have planned a “Paint and Pastries” Party on May 23rd at Chestnuthill Township Community Center; as well as our October 25th Annual Fundraising Luncheon at Stroudsmoor Country Inn. Angels Closet is a 501(c) 3 non-profit, charitable organization established in January 2001. Our goal is to provide baby layette bundles to mothers in need in Monroe County, PA. Layette bundles are distributed through local non-profit agencies, East Stroudsburg Presbyterian Church along with other are social service agencies like Monroe County Children & Youth and Head Start. Local clothing room and church outreach programs also utilize our services. We are always searching for social service groups willing to distribute our bundles to those in need.
