Thanksgiving Impaired Driving
In case you didn't know- Thanksgiving is the most traveled holiday of the year, so please be responsible while travelling.
Impaired driving isn't just from alcohol. It can also occur from prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, illegal drugs, and even medical marijuana. If you feel different, you will drive different. Plan ahead for a safe, sober ride home this holiday. You will be thankful for the decision to not drive impaired.
DUI checkpoints and roving patrols will be occurring now through December 2, 2025, in Monroe County. If you find yourself in a situation where it is not safe to drive, please contact a sober family member or friend, or contact a public rideshare such as a taxi, Uber or Lyft.
