Hamilton Township is a scenic, historically rich municipality in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, located just west of Stroudsburg in the heart of the Pocono foothills. Hamilton Township is a place where Appalachian heritage meets agrarian tradition. Its landscape of fields, creeks, and wooded hills reflects centuries of settlement, while its proximity to Stroudsburg and the Delaware Water Gap makes it a quiet but connected part of Monroe County’s cultural corridor.
Short-term rentals are not allowed in Hamilton Township. Any property in a designated “A” zoning area is strictly prohibited from rentals. Use of C-1 zoning (commercial) property for short-term rentals should apply for an approved use as a hotel/motel which requires a variance granted by the zoning board.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has confirmed another slew of Avian Influenza cases in Philadelphia.
According to APHIS, 1,100 birds located at a "live bird market" in Philadelphia have been affected.
"Avian influenza can kill entire flocks of birds so this causes devastating losses for the farming sector, " said Dr. Keith Hamilton, head of the World Organisation for Animal Health Preparedness and Resilience Department.
