As a parent and resident of Monroe County, I am compelled to speak out against Stroudsburg High School’s current disciplinary policies—particularly the decision to bar students from attending prom due to minor infractions such as being late to class or forgetting their student ID.

A total of $15,962 was raised in the fight against cancer as East Stroudsburg University and the American Cancer Society teamed up to host its annual Relay for Life on Friday, April 4.
The six-hour event brought hundreds of students and community supporters together inside Koehler Fieldhouse from 6 p.m. to midnight to celebrate survivors, recognize caregivers and honor lives lost to cancer.
Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) is expanding its work-based learning initiative, thanks to new funding to further connect universities and employers and provide students with real-world, hands-on learning experiences.
The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) awarded the PASSHE Foundation a $350,000 grant for a three-year investment in work-based learning at Commonwealth, East Stroudsburg and Slippery Rock universities.
East Stroudsburg University’s Student Activity Association, in conjunction with the Student Government Association, hosted their annual Student Organization Awards Banquet on Sunday, April 6.
