Monroe County man pleads guilty in shooting of former tenant

A Chestnuthill Township man has pleaded guilty in the shooting of an ex-tenant.On April 17, Joseph A. Wadas, 60, pleaded guilty to a second-degree felony of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was initially charged with attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault with extreme indifference, both first-degree felonies, and several second-degree misdemeanors.

Undercover investigation sends drug dealer to prison

EAST STROUDBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An undercover investigation in Monroe County helped put an alleged drug dealer in prison.35-year-old Jayson Diaz from East Stroudsburg was sentenced on April 17 to 96 months’ imprisonment for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and cocaine.
